Let me start by saying I am no barbie. True at this moment I am sporting the long blond locks, though that was just because I felt like tis the season for everything to be refreshed. Despite the blond hair, I do not fall into the classic format of beauty, I'm short and chubby with feet that don't match my height. I have a face that does not go without makeup, fearing that the sheer plainness may blind someone. Despite this the only thing I ever wished I could change was my weight. I know just about everyone who expressed negative feelings toward their weight are told that beauty comes from the inside or that your weight doesn't matter. Which is true to an extent. I don't fault that beauty comes from the inside, but I do know that if you don't feel comfortable in your own skin it is almost impossible to take anyones compliments seriously. I myself was done with feeling like I wasn't as healthy or as confident as I could be, so after years of of failed diets and work out routines I took the plunge and had weight loss surgery. In this blog I hope to share my story and progress and why I chose to go through the massive life change that comes along with any successful weight loss surgery.
My name is Hayley. I am a native Californian and an avid artist and writer. I am a college student working on becoming a teacher with a passion for science. I am a foodie and hunt down the very best recipes and restaurants. This passion for food and not a huge love for exercise is probably what landed me in need of serious help concerning my weight and overall health. I knew that I wanted to live a good life and was prepared to do anything to get there. I hope you find this documentation of my progress proof that change is possible, it just takes hard work and sacrifice.
